on holy thursday, my family and i joined this lenten tour - visita iglesia. we were brought to 7 historical churches in Laguna, Philippines. the photo above features the Church of San Bartolome Apostol in Nagcarian. the place is creepy. before you get to the church, you’ll have to pass by the cemetery. then, the under the church itself lies a crypt. it just cries out, thriller! wonder why the sky was unusually beautiful on that day.

oh my goodness, that is in the town my parents grew up in! I’ve passed that cemetary so many times during my visits there!! i’ve never been inside the cemetary because my dad is too chicken to take me, but he told me that there was a tunnel leading from cemetary to a nearby church for the priests. it caved in some years later and they stopped using that way.
